Somali American Gospel Network

Arrived in America, Nasra, from Somalia, in March 94 as a refugee from the civil war in Somalia, and Yusuf, a Somali Kenyan, in December 2003 for school and work.They found each other and have been married since December 2008. We have six beautiful kids, our daughter, 15, and our son, aged 13, who are believers now, and in Jesus' name, they will do greater things for God, but the other older four children are still Muslims, whom we are praying for to come to the knowledge of Christ. Please continue praying for our older kids, who we believe will one day come to the Fold and have their own testimonies. Therefore, in March of 2019, we became followers of Jesus, and one after the other, our lives changed. And from day one, we saw the urgency for the community not to miss God's salvation, wisdom, and reconciliation. We have experienced the devastation and the darkness, and not having a shepherd, we see the pain in the Somali community.The Somali youth is another category within the community who feel disconnected from the rest of the community and turn to substance abuse.We believe as a ministry of the Gospel to bring healing to the broken spirit and heart, to proclaim freedom in God to them. The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
because He has anointed Me
to preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives
, and recovery of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty those who are oppressed. Somali community leaders are not led by the true living God to bring solutions to their urgent Spiritual needs and enlightenment.
